A student who finishes can say what AI is and how it differs from ordinary software, what machine learning does with data, roughly how a chatbot produces a sentence, where these systems fail and why they sound certain while failing, what to hand to AI and what to keep, how to check an answer, who is answerable for it, and what should never be pasted into a prompt.
Not watching. In AI Strengths and Weaknesses, a student gets eighteen messages a spam filter has to judge, plotted on the two things it can actually measure: links in the message and words in capitals. They tilt and slide one line until no more than two of the eighteen are on the wrong side. Two is the floor: one real message genuinely looks like junk, and one piece of junk looks ordinary. A student who has moved that line themselves can say why anything that decides gets the borderline cases wrong with exactly the same confidence it gets the easy ones right.
Assign it as homework, a warm-up, or four to eight lessons of its own. Create a class free, share the join code, and students start the same day. A school license is only needed for what comes after this unit.
What exists today
The questions a district asks, answered without hedging. Where the answer is no, it says no.
Ages
Thirteen and up. Toorova does not create accounts for learners under 13: setup asks for an age range, and anyone under 13 is handed to an adult rather than signed up.
How accounts are created
A teacher creates a class and shares a join code or an invite link. Students sign in with email, Google or Apple. There is no bulk import and no district roster sync.
What a teacher sees
Lessons finished, assignments done, and the topics a student keeps missing. Inside their own classes only. A student's journal, saved notes and AI tutor conversations are not merely hidden from that screen; they are unreachable from it.
What a student controls
Students hold their own accounts. They can see every teacher and guardian linked to them, and can leave a class or revoke a guardian link at any time. Guardian links are approved by the learner, not imposed on them.
What it costs
Teacher accounts, classes and invites are free, and the Foundations layer is free for students permanently at two lessons a day. A school license gives a class a pool of seats; assigning one sponsors that student's Premium while they are in the class. Archiving a class ends those sponsorships and returns the seats.
Which AI receives data
OpenAI. The tutor is sent the lesson context, the question and the conversation so far; that conversation is held by the app and not stored on our servers. Question-level learning data, which questions were missed and which answer was chosen, is stored on the student's account, because it is what lets the tutor teach the actual gap.
Advertising and tracking
None. No advertising identifier is collected on any platform, no app events are sent to any ad network, and there is no cross-app or cross-site tracking. See the Privacy Policy.

Deleting data
An account can be deleted from inside the app or via the deletion page. Archiving a class deletes that class's progress projections; the student's own learning stays on their account.

Every district has a list: single sign-on, rostering, a data agreement, accessibility documentation, whether AI can be turned off, what a pilot looks like. Tell us yours and we will answer each one plainly. What Toorova supports today, what we would build for you, and what we do not have. We will not claim a certification we do not hold or an integration we have not shipped, and you should not have to discover either one mid-pilot.
